Unfortunately, as with everything, the forum world has not only become a network of various cliques, but a huge spider web of internal and external politics. To me, it’s entertaining to see that humanity will always develop it’s own hierarchies to rule and it’s own wars to battle. For those of you who have somehow stumbled on this site and don’t participate in online forums, let’s pull the definition of what a forum is:
Forum-
1. A medium of open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper or a radio or television program.
2. A public meeting or presentation involving a discussion usually among experts and often including audience participation.
A logical conclusion would be that a forum is a place where people meet to discuss their opinions on various subjects, meet people they wouldn’t have the opportunity to normally, and maybe just chill out for a while. Read the rest of this entry »
